The 2024 Ford Explorer’s standard four-cylinder engine delivers plenty of grunt, but the 400-horsepower V6 is more potent than nearly any other nonluxury midsize SUV. The misfire was number six and i had just installed new motor craft spark plugs. I assumed it was the coil pack then. After installing the coil pack, there was no change. I moved the Spark plug from position 6 to 5 and that became the cylinder misfiring so obviously it was a bad spark plug.
Bank 1 is where the number one cylinder/spark plug is located. If this is a 4 cylinder engine, number 1 is at the front of the motor and bank 1 is irrelevant and the number 1 sensor would be the one screwed into the exhaust manifold attatched to the cylinder head.
