May 24, 2017. #1. Hi, I am driving a F10 528i. Car is almost 5 years old and battery so far has not given problem for the past 5 years. But I was told by my service centre ( not PML) that the battery is getting weak and should be replaced. They do not have the right battery so could not replace.
The site and diagnostics state it should be in the trunk compartment, right side by fuse box. Ive found the regular battery, where the spare tire compartment is located, but cannot find the auxiliary battery. Agin, this is bought in Germany and built in Germany, hoping thats the issue and BMW found an alternate spot for this battery.

This makes me think the 50ah battery is only sold though the BMW network.if someone manages to find a direct replacement please let me know. The other 90ah battery was easier to find, batteries plus sold me a 92ah duracell agm, perfect fit. Make sure you dont get the 105ah as it won't fit. Ah ok.
