BMW Motorrad has told me that the bike has already had two replacement header pipes in 11000 miles. Ideally you update the firmware on everything - phone, helmet, and bike (dealer has to do this unfortunately) 1) Delete all pairings from Headset and Bike. 2) Delete any pairing in Phone for Headset and Bike. 3) Pair the Phone to the Bike. 4) Pair the Headset to the Bike. Took them 3 days as BMW had to send the dealers some small thin straw like items with alcohol or spirit in them to push over the pins. The issue happened maybe 20 times and limp mode came into play each time until I stopped and turned the bike off then it reset fine when started again for another time period. The first thing you notice is of course the new muzzle of the R 1250 RT. The two round headlights have given way to a more angular design, with the fairing around the LEDs now painted in body color. It gives the RT a more refined look. Too bad that the rear end remained untouched. Another missed opportunity.

Does anyone know of a BMW fix for this? I know I can go SPEND MORE money to get an aftermarket antenna and relocate it to the top box, but I'd rather it be integrated like BMW meant it to be.
